Legalization Information

CONSULAR SERVICES PUBLIC HOURS

Monday to Thursday:  9:30 am to 12:00 pm
and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, for drop-off only

Canadian documents only to be used in Indonesia.

Documents issued by the Indonesian company or foreign company cannot be Authenticated by the Embassy of Indonesia in Canada.

Please allow space on your document to include the Embassy sticker (8cm x 5cm) or print your document on a legal size paper (maximum size) prior to requesting the stamp from the Notary Public.

Procedure

To Authenticate a document, submit all the requirements to the Embassy, either in person, Canada Post or Courier service.

The Embassy of the Republic Indonesia (Consular Services) will Authenticate document(s) only after they have been legalized  by a Notary Public and Authenticated by Global Affairs Canada ( http://www.international.gc.ca/department-ministere/authentication-authentification_documents.aspx?lang=eng )

Embassy ‘s Requirements:

  1. A covering letter/introduction letter  from the Canadian Company requesting the document(s) for Authentication indicating the complete information of the Indonesian Company, requesting/ needing the document(s) to be authenticated, such as : Name of Company, address, contact person, phone and fax number, email address and website. Also indicate your contact email address.
  2. Individual / private document,  requesting legalization will  need to provide a copy of their Passport ID page and any other government official document to support the applicants identity.
  3. The original document(s) to be Authenticated.  Document(s) must be legalized beforehand by a Notary Public and Global Affairs Canada.
  4. Authentication fee  per document is C$150.00 for Business Document and C$30.00 for Non Business Document in the form of  a money order. Please read the method of payment information.
  5. A return envelope:  (Consular Affairs is not responsible for sending your documents to Indonesia)
  • a. by hand : envelop with name of contact person and contact number.
  • b. Canada Post : the Canada Post document submission guideline.
  • c. Courier Service with a completed waybill and account number.

The processing time of 3 – 5 days (between Monday – Thursday), providing that the documents are submitted according to the regulation, (not including statutory holiday).
