Diplomatic and Service Visa

Diplomatic Visa is given to foreign citizens bearing a Diplomatic or Laissez Passer (UN) passport for the purpose of conducting diplomatic duties/assignments in Indonesia.

Service Visa is given to foreign citizens bearing an official/service passport on assignment for Government purposes.

Diplomatic or Service Visa is valid if presented within 3 (three) months after the date of issuance.

Procedure

Submitting by hand : all supporting documents must be in an envelop with your name and contact number.   Submitting by courier company: enclosed a returned way-bill/envelop completed in full.  Please do not submit your passport with Canada Post.

To minimize paper, please print double sided the visa application and airline ticket.

Requirements

  1. Original passport valid for more than 6 (six) months from the date of exit from Indonesia.
  2. Diplomatic note from Foreign Government, Diplomatic Mission or from the United Nations.
  3. visa application (F-004-2009-Eng) completed in full (you can use the  computer to complete the visa form, this avoid submitting a visa form with errors.
  4. 2 (one) recent photographs (passport format) in the box on the  application form. See our photograph specification information. We do not accept photocopy of photograph.
  5. Copy of  round trip flight ticket/itinerary

We are experiencing high volume of incomplete visa application forms as well as incomplete visa requirements. If your visa form and requirements are not completed in full, it will delay the  visa request.  Please reassure that all visa requirements are submitted.

The  processing  time is generally  take 1 (one) full working day between Monday to Thursday.

Important Notice:

There are two regions in Indonesia: Poso, and Papua the applicant could not visit without special permission and approval. The Applicant who wishes to enter the restricted regions must obtain special authorization from Indonesian authorities. This rule also applies to those who work in these regions, e.g. Freeport employees. Visitors who enter these regions without permission are subject to arrest and detention and will be prosecuted according to Indonesian law.

When To Submit a Visa Request

To avoid any inconvenience, it is recommended for the applicant to submit the visa request no later than 7 (seven) days prior to departure and not more than 30 days prior to leaving Canada . To avoid any delay, please make sure that all supported documents are submitted. It is advisable to check with the Consular Services at the Embassy if you do not receive your returned passport within 10 (ten)days after submitting it to the Embassy.
