Visa Exemption

Countries that are exempted from applying for a Visa to enter Indonesia

Citizens from the following Countries and Special Administrative Regions (SAR) are allowed to stay in Indonesia up to 30 days without visa for leisurely visit not for employment and can not be extended.

Visitors should be in possession of valid passport of 6 months validity beyond the intended length of stay and a return or an onward journey ticket at the time of arrival.

Those Countries and SAR are:

  1. Brunei Darussalam
  2. Cambodia
  3. Chile
  4. Ecuador
  5. Hong Kong (SAR)
  6. Laos
  7. Macao (SAR)
  8. Malaysia
  9. Morocco
  10. Myanmar
  11. Philippines
  12. Peru
  13. Thailand
  14. Singapore
  15. Vietnam

Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passport from the following countries are exempted

The Government of Indonesia has made agreements with the following  countries to be exempted from applying for a visa to enter Indonesia for Diplomatic and Service passport holders that wish to visit Indonesia, does not apply for employment and can not be extended.

Visitors should be in possession of valid passport of 6 months validity beyond the intended length of stay and a return or an onward journey ticket at the time of arrival.

Those countries are:

  1. Afghanistan (maximum 30 days)
  2. Argentina (maximum 30 days)
  3. Austria (maximum 30 days)
  4. Azerbaijan (maximum 30 days)
  5. Bangladesh (maximum 30 days)
  6. Belarus (maximum 30 days)
  7. Bosnia Herzegovina (maximum 30 days)
  8. Brazil (maximum 30 days)
  9. Bulgaria (maximum 30 days)
  10. Cambodia (maximum 14 days)
  11. China, People’s Republic  (maximum 30 days)
  12. Colombia (maximum 30 days)
  13. Croatia (maximum 14 days)
  14. Cuba (maximum 14 days)
  15. Ecuador (maximum 30 days)
  16. France (maximum 30 days)
  17. Hungary (maximum 30 days)
  18. India (maximum 30 days)
  19. Iran  (maximum 30 days)
  20. Kazakhstan (maximum 30 days)
  21. Korea, Democratic People’s Republic  ( (maximum 14 days)
  22. Korea, Republic (maximum 14 days)
  23. Kyrgyzstan (maximum 30 days)
  24. Laos (maximum 14 days)
  25. Macedonia (maximum 30 days)
  26. Mongolia  (maximum 30 days)

  28. Pakistan (maximum 30 days)
  29. Paraguay  (maximum 30 days)

  31. Peru  (maximum 30 days)

  41. Turkey (maximum 14 days)
  42. Tunisia (maximum 60 days)
  43. United Arab Emirates (maximum 60 days)
  44. Venezuela  (maximum 30 days)
  45. Vietnam (maximum 14 days)
